Slim and long
This jacket is probably best for gentleman like the other reviewer who are tall and slender. It looks good on me open, but it a little tight when I close it. The sleeves are also finished in such a way that it will be a pain for my tailor to shorten them for me. The cotton fabric is pretty nice, so long as you are expecting a canvas type thing. The pocket in the back is like that on a Filson Mackinaw Cruiser, and is usually called a "Map Pocket". There are also hand warming pockets behind the patch pockets on in the front, like on a Mackinaw.
All cotton with polyester sleeve lining. 3 interior pockets. There is also a button tab closure hidden under the collar, so you can pop the collar up and close it. It would presumably help some in windy conditions, and is a nice feature that I usually only see on fully detailed English tweed sport jackets.
I really like it, but the fit is not great for my body type: 5'7" 155lbs. I haven't decided yet whether to send it back or not. If I keep it, I may have my tailor just take out the polyester sleeve lining.
Made in China.

Slim fitting casual alternative to a trench coat.
I'm 6'2" 155lbs with a 38" chest and 35" shirt sleeve, and the Medium size in this Barn Jacket fits me very well. The sleeves fit slim and are long enough for my slightly-longer-than-average arms. The body is also slim, though slightly boxy, but that is ok in outerwear like this to allow for layering underneath. More pockets than I know what to do with, but styled in a way where they are not bulky or visually obtrusive to the style. An unexpected feature is that there are two button flaps on the back of this jacket at the waist which open to the inner chambray lining, so I assume these function as back vents? I highly recommend this well-made jacket as a casual, every day alternative to a traditional trench coat.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Based off your measurements and past experience with our Extra-Slim fit shirts, you should select a size Medium in this Barn Jacket. It may even be a bit roomier than your dress shirts, which is ideal for layering. We do hope this information is helpful.
Kind regards,

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Based off the measurements you have provided, we recommend selecting a size Large in our Barn Jacket. Selecting a size up will provide adequate room to layer the jacket over your favorite button downs and sweaters. We do hope this information is helpful.
