A nice alternative to the pleated tux shirt I was looking for a little change for my formalwear and this shirt provides a very "clean" look. It is shown with a black long tie, which I don't personally prefer, but the spread collar looks great with a bowtie. December 6, 2011
I am 6'2'' and 185. I normally wear the Slim Fit dress shirts and they fit me perfectly. I orginally tried this Tuxedo shirt in the Slim Fit. It was quite more fitted than I am used to. This shirt, with the purple label is neither the traditional fit nor the slim fit, but right in between. It was exactly what i was looking for and fit perfectly. It fit true to size even after an initial laundreing. I also really like the simplicity of the bib front. November 16, 2011
Tux Shirt Again, the fit is great, along with the quality and overall the shirt is what you would expect from Brooks Brothers! April 22, 2011
Bib Front Spread Collar Review I wore this shirt this past weekend at my wedding. The fit was perfect, almost custom. The look of the shirt is very classy/formal. Whenever I wear my tuxedo i will only where it with the Bib Front Spread Collar shirt. March 24, 2011

Is the look of a bow tie okay/appropriate for this "spread collar" bib formal shirt? It's shown with a long tie which I don't prefer with a tux. I have traditional collars on my other tux shirts. Thanks...

Answer:
Think James Bond. Spread collar. Bow tie. Classic. Don't know why BB has the long tie paired with this shirt.

Answer:
ABSOLUTELY. The collar is not really a spread., and I think it looks fantastic with a bow tie. I would not even considering wearing a long tie with a tuxedo.

Answer:
Our Suggestion:
Most of the people wear long tie with spread collar tux shirt.
However, you can wear bow tie on a spread collar tux shirt also.

Answer:
Hello sir, thank you for your inquiry into our Bib-Front Spread Collar Formal Tuxedo Shirt. The purple label denotes that this is our Regular fit. You would not need to size up for this unless perhaps you typically wear our Traditional fit, which is the fullest.

We do hope this information is helpful in your decision.
Kind regards,
