What a great Jacket! I recently purchased my first Brooksease 2-button Jacket and am very pleased with what I've found. First of all the super 100's wool fabric is appealing to the eye. It feels great on. It falls nicely when worn. It looks great minutes after taking it from a suit case or from the over-head storage compartment on an airplane. I'm sold on this garment. BrooksEase navy suit is tops for looks and value. I really like BrooksEase navy suit, the tailoring excellent. the fit is a touch too small, Remember too, the jacket and trousers are purchased separately. I thought the price to be a heck of a deal until I realized the pants were an optional extra. September 18, 2011
A rare find I was on a business trip recently and lost my favorite jacket. I knew that it would be hard to find a suitable replacement, but this jacket has more than met my expectations. It is a much better fit then I ever thought it might be and will serve me for years to come. September 14, 2011
Uneven Standard I usually love Brooks Ease suiting as I travel extensively in the Caribbean and have 4 grey and 4 blue suits but last shipment of the jacket which was same size as ordered the week before fit a size smaller and looked different. Quality control lacking in terms of source. Too bad, may have to start looking elsewhere. July 21, 2011

It says 100s pure stretch wool - does that mean 100 per cent pure wool?
and how is it made to stretch?

The fabric is 100% wool. The stretch is all in the weave! It wears great. Feels good and looks great! Roll it up in a ball and throw it in the overhead storage on an airplane, then take it down, give it a shake put it on and it looks great.

it's not stretchy. i think this refers to the weave. i believe it makes the suit more breathable, and more suitable for all weather wear.

100's does not refer to the composition of the fabric; it refers to the thread count. I am not exactly sure about the precise definition of 'thread count', but I believe it is the number of threads contained in one square inch of the fabric. Generally, the higher the thread count, the finer the fabric, and the lower the thread count, the coarser the fabric. 100's is on the lower-end of thread counts by the way. The description does say pure stretch wool, so yes, I believe the fabric is 100% wool. I am not sure what you mean about 100% pure wool, since 100% and pure are redundant. I do not know how they make the fabric stretch, but do e-mail Brooks Brothers about it. Speaking from experience, they are really helpful.

Buttons for the sleeve are placed in a small bag and put in the breast pockets for safe keeping.

Since the sleeve length has to be determined with the jacket on it will affect where the buttons are placed after this alteration is finished.

Buttons are located in a pouch in one of the pockets, they are left off to simplify tailoring adjustment to sleeve length.
