Answer:
The BrooksStorm Twill Trench Coat is ideal for the winter as it is resistant to wind and water. Depending on the additional layers that you may wear, this coat should provide amply warmth, even in cold weather. However, there is no hood or head protection which often generates added heat. Remember to take a hat!

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. For our Twill Trench Coat, we recommend that you select a size 40. Based off the measurements you have provided, a size 40 will be the best fit. Do be advised, trench coats are typically a bit larger so they may be worn in layers, over a shirt and tie or even a sweater or blazer.

We do hope this information is helpful.

It may indeed be a bit too tight sir when worn with a sport coat or blazer. That said, sans a jacket it will likely fit well.

Hello,

For BB shirts, I wear 16/35. With an athletic built, Slim is e a tick tight on the chest/back area, and Regular is more comfortable. For BB sweaters, I wear size L.

What size should I order for this coat? Should it be a 40 or 42?

Also does the coat leave enough room for sweater/suit or should I order one size up for that?

Answer:
Hello sir, based on the measurements you have provided, we believe a 40R is the appropriate size for you in the BrooksStorm Twill Trench Coat. There is no need to size up, as our outerwear is designed to fit over bulky layers (provided there are not too many). A 42R might just be too full in the body and would create an ill-fitting silhouette. However, if you are above average in height, (6'1" or more) we would recommend selecting a size 40L.

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Our Steep Twill Overcoat is designed to go over bulky layers and is therefore a bit roomier in terms of fit. The Twill Trench Coat is more fitted and runs straight through the body. We would recommend the Twill Trench Coat for a more professional look while the Overcoat is more casual by nature.

We do hope this is helpful.
