Underarm seams and shoulder seams split easily. I own more than 20 of these, all colors. I often buy them when on sale. I bought them for the long-term.They will last a lifetime. I own many black ones and the underarm seams on the black ones always split. I wear a small and they are somewhat loose on me. So it is not like I am heavy set and they are bursting at the seams or I rip them. Because I have so many, I don't wear any one of them more than twice a month, and some not that often. And, of course, just in the winter. My dry cleaner knows how to handle cashmere -- and charges very high prices for it. So I am convinced there is something wrong with the stitching in the black ones. They all wear out in the same place. I wonder if the ones I have bought on sale were really first-quality. Also, if you have not worn a lot of cashmere, black is never as soft as the gray ones. The gray ones are like butter. The black ones are much less soft. So ... beware if you buy these. I am 200 percent certain I have not ripped mine and 200 percent certain I have taken excellent care of them. A big disappointment, given the cost. February 2, 2013
