Good Chuckka Good simple boat shoe with nice leather. The higher sides adds a little support and prevents debris from easily entering the shoe as this is a problem with most low boat shoes. The quality is very fine but I would not have the leather lining go up the side as this would make it more supple and easier to break in. January 13, 2012
Misrepresented I purchased these shoes online and was severely disappointed when I received them. The color scheme is completely different than what is shown on the website. The laces are brown, not black, and the stitching is also brown. The leather is also a much lighter brown than what is shown. Overall, the shoes have a much clunkier shape, as well. Compared to what is shown in the picture above, the actual shoes look awful. January 4, 2012
OK boot i dont get why the bottom is of a boat shoe when boots are meant more for fall/winter...it looks nice, but the back of boot kept digging in my heel a little softer would be nice.... December 11, 2011
Chukka good... Classic boat shoe my Father bought for many years and now so do I, thanks to Brooks Brothers. September 16, 2011

Answer:
It has a rugged rubber sole so I am not sure that can be done but can get quite a bit of wear on the sole and should last a long time.

Answer:
It does not look like it as the sole has a series of rubber cleats that come into contact with the ground which are spaced in between the one piece leather body of the shoe.
