Invest in Cordovan leagther I recently bought a pair of Cordovan leather penny losfers, and just as my other Cordovans, they fit like a glove. If you have fitting problems, this is the shoe as it will conform to your feet. Addionally, as the shoe salesman says, "see you in 20 yrs". The shoe lasts a long, long itme. I see the price just increased, but if you can affored them, this leather (this is the leather type, not the color) is worth it. August 10, 2012
not good for flat feet these are great shoes and a classic but if like me you have flat feet (no arch at all in my case!) avoid these as there is zero built in arch support. I wear them anyway but my "arch collapses the shoe righ in at the inside and spoils the look, epscially if being worh with narrow trousers to show off the shoe! January 25, 2012
nice shoe have british tan, nice shoe, but weats a little faster than i thought....expected a little better quality but looks nice and is comfortable...didnt even need to break in December 11, 2011
Returned them The shoes were extremely uncomfortable and fit weird. Don't buy them. After returning them i bought ones extremely similar (and cheaper) that are really comfortable from cole haan. Love bb but was disappointed with this product June 15, 2011

This is a Classic Pennyloafer. By definition all pennyloafers are casual as compared to a lace up oxford shoe. That does not mean people don't wear pennyloafers with suits and sports coats.

Someone else had commented they're not easily resoled--which means they're not Goodyear-welted, I gather.

Is the entire upper made from full grain leather? is some portion corrected grain? If so, which parts? Who is the manufacturer?

Answer: 
The grain is buffed down to create a flat smooth base for the high gloss finish that the loafer requires. Also, the leather is full grain.
