Looks great, fit poor
First, the shoes look stunning.
Even with non-custom size, it took over a year to find them. I usually wear 8.5 E. Since they run a little longer, the BB rep asked me to order 8E. Inspite ordering Wide, the shoes felt extremely narrow between little toe & big toe mound "on my feet". Whereas, they were loose near the heal & my feet constantly kept coming out when I wore them. Though, I ordered half size smaller, there's still some space above my toes.
To soften the leather, I wore them a couple of times in my house. So far, I've wore them 3-4 times. Every time I wore them my entire leg, from muscles to bones, my soles, sheen, calf & thighs hurt like crazy for a day or two.
After first time wearing it outside, the sole appeared as if I've been wearing them for years. The upper leather scratches very easily, leaving a permanent mark.
Would recommend replacing the sole with rubberized one for year around usability & availability in wider sizes.

Wonderful pair of shoes.
These cordovan wingtips look great and are very comfortable. After trying many other premium shoe brands, this Alden for Brooks Brothers provides the best fit and value. The stitching and detail are well done and the quality of the leather is outstanding, I don't care much for the metal eyelets, but the rest of the shoe brings a good balance to the overall look. As long as Brooks Brothers continues to offer quality shoes like these, I will keep buying more. Fits true to size. No dissapointments!

My Favorite Shoes
I'd been told that I needed a pair of cordovan wingtips if I was going to dress like a "real" attorney. I had decided on some Aldens, but I didn't like the shape of the shoe -- a bit too "old man" for me. When I heard that Brooks Brothers had a cordovan wingtip by Alden made on their Plaza last (a bit narrower shape), I went into the Madison Ave store to check them out. They're gorgeous, and the quality is evident just from looking at them and holding them. They did take a few weeks to break in (my toes hurt for a while before that), but now they're comfortable. Can't wait for the patina to start forming. I also confirmed that if the shoes ever need repair, they will be repaired by Alden cobblers.

Dynamite
These shoes are excellent. They are made by Alden and come on the plaza last, which I think is very nice in general and looks great for these wingtips.

Answer:
In discussing the matter with Alden, I understand the 037H is made on the M-75 last, which is similar to the Plaza last. It should run true to size.1 year, 11 months ago

Answer:
Both shoes are made by Alden. 037H is made on the Plaza last. I am sure, since I own a pair. Not sure what abou the other. Could be the Barrie last. The differnet lasts do fit differently; in general Barrie lasted shoes run half a size big.2 years, 3 months ago

Answer:
The 02AH Black Fleece shoe is a Longwing Blucher/Derby design with a storm welt and a double sole. 037H is a "short" wing Balmoral/Oxford design with a single sole. Under traditional style rules, the 02AH would be considered a less formal shoe, suitable for wear with more casual clothes; whereas the 073H shoe is a more formal shoe.2 years, 5 months ago
