Rated 5 out of 5 by Timeless Classis Excellent coat in every respect. I have it in both colors, and would like to add a black version. Well made, just the right weight -not too thin, not too thick. Ideal length and overall effect. I wear it nearly every day. I hope BB will add a black version soon. March 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Classic trench Purchased both the navy and taupe coats. Well constructed and they work with several colors. They are fully lined including the zip out cold weather liner. Very professional and should wear well for years to come. September 21, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Timeless Trench This trench is as functional as it is beautiful due to the zip out wool liner which allows it to be worn in a broader range of temperatures. I also appreciate the attention to detail such as the concealed button that attaches the belt to the body of the coat, and the button placket that allows the kick pleat to open wider or narrower depending on the wearer's preference. I liked the fit (true to size), fabric, and design of this classic trench so much that I purchased it in both colors. February 8, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Classic piece every woman should own Finding a classic trench coat has been a challenge for me. There are many trendy ones all over the place, in fun colors and animal prints, but I wanted one I could use for years. Fit and quality are excellent -- slimming, without being restricting, although I chose to buy my true size instead of sizing up for a suit jacket underneath. However, even with a suit jacket, my true size was still appropriate. I just have a little less room, which is fine since I do not wear suits all that often. November 9, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Truly classic I agree with all the praise heaped on this coat. I bought it in navy (a very dark navy, almost black from a distance). One detail I appreciate: the belt has a buttoned loop in the back so you can't lose it. The coat has all the detailed tailoring and thoughtfulness I come to expect from BB. I usually wear an 8 in BB coats and jackets and 8 works fine in this one, too. October 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Classic Trench I'd been searching a while for a classic trench, and this is it-- lining is well-placed, inside pocket, button to secure belt -- everything is there. On sizing, I wear a 4 in a Brooks Blazer, so I took the 6 in the trench, and wearing trench over blazer is a snap. If you wear your trench without a blazer, you could order your true size and be fine. September 6, 2012

Answer:
The upper chest part runs small, unless you have the tailor to take out from the top 2 rows of buttons. I am a regular size 8, and I bought a size 10 just because the bottons are not sewned to the right place. With one size up, I can comfortable wear a suit under it.

Answer:
I don't know if Brooks Brothers have a temperature rating on this coat, as it's only a trench coat. The lining is regular lining, very light.

Answer:
Not real heavy, but with both linings should be ok until a heavier wool coat is needed.

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Our Cotton Trench coat is made entirely from cotton, with a flannel lining. The sleeves are lined as well in flannel. Though the fabric was woven in Japan, the garment was assembled in China.

We do hope this information is helpful.
Kind regards,
Brooks Brothers
