Beautiful, but Poor Quality I bought the Doorman Umbrella in May of this year. It is now August and my second (replacement) umbrella just broke. The first broke in June when 2 of the stretchers broke. I took it to a local store where they gave me a new umbrella (same model) without any problem. This was absolutely the BEST customer service I've ever gotten from any company. Now, in early August I used the umbrella again and the sewing that holds the fabric to one of the tips broke. The umbrella looks beautiful as long as it is not used and the customer service is the best there is, but the Doorman Umbrella is the worst quality I've ever seen. August 10, 2012
BB Doorman's Umbrella I recently replced my BB doorman's umbrella when my original was left behind at a restaurant. I am equally pleased with my new umbrella. The double canopy seems to add more stability especially in windy conditions. Although the material is not as heavy as some similar umbrellas, it is still sufficient. The canopy opens and closes easily. It also has two wrap around velcro closure ribbons for a tight fit when closed. April 27, 2011
too much of a good thing! Although this umbrella is lovely, it is more the size of a golf umbrella - absolutely huge - and the tip of the curved wooden handle is unfinished making it appear that a cap fell off the end (or something like that). April 14, 2010

This umbrella folds up. It is easy to open & close back up. The push button near the handle opens it all the way for you. There is a push "button" on the stick to unlock it and push the umbrella closed (the stick collapses). It uses an attached Velcro closure for the bag/cover and for the umbrella when closed.
