Extra-Long Dot Repp Tie
Quality is obvious
Many men overlook the importance of purchasing quality neckwear, but as the visual focal point of one's business appearance and the logical - if not the only - part of a gentleman's "look" in which his creativity or personality is expressed, it is short-sighted to skimp. Quality neckwear is obvious: colors are more vibrant and distinguishable. Quality ties tie well in well-formed knots and drape well because they are more thoughtfully cut and because there is substance to the fabric and backing. Quality ties stand up to dry cleaning without losing their color or shape. Side-by-side around a conference table or at any gathering, the quality tie is obvious.
Brooks Bros sells quality ties and this one is a great example. The dots, though small and elegant, are robust, the colors are great. The tie knots beautifully. The biggest challenge is suppressing the urge to order one of each color combination offered. Thanks for a great neck tie.

No tie in the world knots as beautifully as a BB tie, and these are no exception. The knot can be pulled as tightly as you want without causing damage to the silk, and as a result they dimple beautifuly each and every time. Too, the interlining is thin enough to form a perfect half windsor that is both tall and thin. The silk on these has the perfect sheen as well...not too shiny, not too dull. And the dots are WOVEN, not printed. Like I said...nothing beats a BB tie!

Just as advertised
I have a large neck size (20) and when a tie is advertised as extra long, I am wary. But when Brooks Brothers advertises extra long ties, you get what you paid for - an extra long tie that allows either double or single windsor knots with plenty of tie left over. Good quality and great sizing.

I purchased a virtually identical tie from another manufacturer and was I ever disappointed. To the naked eye the two ties were virtually identical but as soon as you touched the Brooks Brothers tie and made that all important knot, the difference became clear. Saving a few dollars means nothing if you end up with an inferior product. Needless to say, when Brooks Brothers puts their ties on sale, it's a opportunity not to be missed!
