One of the years' best styles/color combinations!
This is *the* tweed jacket of the year. Its style is unmatched by any other in the BB offering this year. You will love this jacket from the moment you try it and every second thereafter. The color pattern, style and feel are top notch.
At the sale price, you cannot afford not to buy it.

Great jacket
The colors are incredible. The fit is spot-on. I think this style and quality of jacket would be better served by a full lining, but without it it made it so I could wear it a week or two earlier in the season. Great jacket.

Beautiful Harris Tweed jacket
I just received this sport coat, and it's better looking in person than on the website pic! The underlying tone is a nice deep olive green, the golds do not overwhelm it as in the website pic, and there are some darker greens and blues in the underlying windowpane. Also, there are some occasional flecks of reds and oranges characteristic of Harris tweed.
The jacket itself is (I would say) 3/4 lined. It is fully lined on the chest pieces and sleeves, but only 1/2 lined down the back. WIth Harris tweed being a heavy cloth, I think it will make the overall jacket lighter and more wearable on days which are only cool rather than cold. Of course, Harris tweed is also a somewhat scratchy cloth, but the unlined portions are not anyplace where they will touch bare skin.

Will the fabric soften up?

Answer:
Harris tweed does not soften up a lot. However, the unlined portions of the jacket ( mainly 2/3 of the back) are only in areas which will already be clothed, and will not touch bare skin. (See my review) I think it will lighten up the jacket quite a bit.1 year, 7 months ago

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. For our Fitzgerald Fit Multi Check Harris Tweed Sport Coat, we recommend that you stay with a size 40R. A 42R will simply be too bulky and will require quite a bit of altering for a proper fit. We do not currently have this item in a 40R in our online store but if you wish, you may contact Customer Service to speak with one of our dedicated representatives. He or she will happily assist you with locating this sport coat at a store closest to you.Simply dial 800.274.1815 or email service@brooksbrothers.com

I recently purchased this and was surprised that the front pocket seems to be sewn shut about an inch beneath the crest making it hard to use a pocket square. Is this intentional or is there a way to open it up for a deeper pocket?
Thanks

Answer:
It's intentional, simply rip the seams (they're loosely sewn for this purpose) and feel free to accent with a pocket square.Kind regards,
