Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by A wool like no other Having purchased other BB suits (including Loro Piana), I didn't know that there was a possibility of a nicer feeling wool. I was mistaken. This Saxxon wool suit has an edge over any other suit I own! Not only is the feel even more luxurious and soft, but there is a slight sheen to it as well, which looks stunning. The herringbone pattern is, as others have indicated, very subtle. Therefore, it is appropriate even for conservative situations. As I typically wear a Regent fit, I had to have several more alterations on this suit than usual. The Fitzgerald, while also a nice fit, is a fuller cut through the body of the coat and the trouser. However, with some adjustments to the waist and leg of the trouser, and some additional tapering of the coat, it fits almost as well as my Regents. April 14, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Amazing fabric I ordered this suit in navy along with a regular 1818, and the difference is incredible. The wool is super soft and drapes wonderfully. The herringbone pattern is very subtle, so it's still conservative enough for job interviews but more interesting visually than a solid navy. Downside is the waist suppression is pretty severe, especially for someone with narrow shoulders. My tailor took care of that though. This is now my best suit. September 23, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Closer Just like the title - I felt like Harvey Specter putting this one on. I called ahead to my local store to let them know what I was looking for (interview suit) and upon arrival the associate had picked out both a Fitzgerald and the Regent in several different fabrics. The herringbone pattern is subtle enough to be conservative and the cut of the Fitzgerald fit my frame well (5-11" and 160#). Picked out on Friday, fitted on Saturday alterations were done by Tuesday. Great turn-around by the Southlake store! This was my first suit from BB and have received quite a few compliments on it. Rated 5 out of 5 by Makes me look like $1,000,000 This is the first suit that I have purchased for myself, for business. It was worth every penny. I don't think that there's a better look for a young man than in a well fitting navy suit. The texture of the herringbone is interesting to look at up close, but still subtle. The feel and drape of the fabric is obviously rich and soft. One huge problem that I had was with the time it took to get my suit shipped to me. It took 6 full weeks to receive my garment in the mail, and I live in Texas. Beware before you order this suit that you may not actually 'wear' it in the same fiscal quarter that you purchased it in. All things considered, it was one of the best purchases I've ever made. I'll probably buy the charcoal suit in a year or two. February 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Suit! I recently purchased the Fitzgerald Herringbone suit in Saxxon wool in charcoal. I am very pleased with the fit- it is much slimmer than my other BB suits and fit perfectly without tailoring. Also, the Saxxon wool ahas a very nice hand. My only disappointment is the rather cheap looking (and feeling) buttons. I might replace them in the future. February 23, 2011

Answer:
The Fitzgerald is the slimmer suit. The Regent is a contemporary fit, for a slimmer look. Trimmer chest and back width with a higher arm hole. Smaller in point-to-point, back width and half waist. The Fitzgerald is a slim fitting suit; narrow point-to-point, with a high armhole. It has a shorter coat with a trimmer waist.

Answer:
I believe the Regent to be slimmer than the Fitzgerald. However, with my Saxxon Herringbone, I had it altered to fit more like a Regent.

Depends on where you summer. New York - yes, probably. Texas - you will be very warm. All things being equal, it is dark wool and will not wrinkle as easy as some other fabrics.

Answer:
I believe that this suit can be worn during any season. It has very traditional styling, and comes in neutral tones, so it works well year-round. It may be a little warm in the summer due to the type of wool, but I don't think that it is unbearable. I have worn it so far this summer on days where the temperature exceeded 35 C (~95 F).
