Fitzgerald Two-Button 1818 Suit 4.5 5 30 35
Great staple suit, but be careful with sizing I am a young lawyer, and my Fitzgerald suits are staples for me. They are flattering, while still being conservative enough to not draw attention (very important for being in front of a jury of 12 people who are judging everything about you). Be careful with sizing, however, as Brooks Brothers seems to have changed the fit of their suits. I wear a 42L (and have verified this with my tailor), and own 3 Fitzgerald suits in 42L that fit perfectly. However, when I went into a BB store last week, the 42L was very tight, and I had to move up to a 43L. Do yourself a favor and try on jackets at the store to verify your size before ordering online. Lasted less than a year I bought two of these suits at the same time. I wore each of them once a week to the office and in less than a year the fabric had worn just below the elbows. I was told by my local store that they would have to be taken to be rewoven. January 30, 2013
Great Fit, But Beware... First of all, the Fitzgerald fit is my favorite fit in my wardrobe -- four of my suits are Fitzgeralds. But after fewer than six months of once-a-week wear, I noticed the fabric on the corner of the right back pocket starting to get thin, and ultimately turned into a hole. Of course, part of the problem was that I wore my wallet there (I don't anymore) -- but with such infrequent wear, that shouldn't happen. I can say that the folks at the Madison Avenue store went above and beyond fixing the problem for me. But just beware that the fabric on some of these suits might not be as durable as you'd think. Answer:
Gray or Navy solid is an excellent way to build your business wardrobe. This fit is great for business as it is not too trendy nor is it overly "traditional" i.e. fits like a kid wearing his dad's suit.

Answer:
With a blue suit, you can wear black, brown, or oxblood. Same with a grey suit. Belt or suspenders must match.

Though, personally, I wouldn't wear a black tie with a blue suit and brown shoes. I'd wear black leather in that instance.

Answer:
Many people today go with a dark brown and only use a black shoe with grey or black suits and everything else is brown. However, the classic look is black shoes. I stick with black shoes.

Answer:
Depends on the tie. Black always works with a Navy suit. However, if wearing a tie with a lot of burgundy/maroons, I usually wear cordovan shoes with a navy suit.

I wear mostly dark brown shoes with the suit. I wear black shoes with the suit when wearing at night. I have also seen light brown shoes worn with blue suits but would only wear those in spring or summer. Hope this helps

I'm trying to buy additional pair of pants for my brooks brothers suit, but i don't know how to
find the exact matching fabric to my jacket.
On my jacket it says "1818 Fitzgerald" inside on left side and "Perennial super 110's fabric made in Italy" on right side.
and there is a tag with all codes;

BB/M/C/SUL/GW
Navy 42R
001170/45865026
2210200600574

Please help me to find this fabric~

Answer:
You can't just purchase trousers in fabric to match. It's going to need to come from the same bolt of fabric in order to look correct. If you require multiple pairs of pants, either purchase suit separates or buy a Made-To-Measure suit with an extra pair of trousers.

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. All of our 1818 suits and Golden Fleece suits include trousers. The size of the trousers differs depending on the size of the jacket. For instance, if you wear a size 38-40, the corresponding pants will come in a size 34. No need to worry if you are not quite a 34, the expectation is that the pants will need to be altered for a proper fit. If you wear a larger jacket size, such as a 48 or 50, the pants will be closer to size 40-42 waist. We do recommend contacting our Customer Service team for further guidance in the selection of the Fitzgerald Two-Button suit. He or she may use your exact measurements to find the best size.

We do hope this information is helpful.
Kind regards,

English suits often have pickstitching (fine stitching) around the edge of the coat collar and down along the front edges of the jacket where it buttons. Is this also the case with Fitsgerald BB suits?

Most Fitzgeralds (maybe all?) I've seen do not have pickstitching. Pickstitching does, however, appear to be a standard feature on the Regent suits.

Does this suit have working sleeve buttons? Or sewn on with no holes?

Answer:
I believe that the store carries the suits and the sleeve buttons are NOT attached. They will attach the buttons and/or make them functional (ie surgeons cuffs) once you've purchased the suit and confirmed the length of the sleeve.
