Good but not a serious brief
Great looking but no very functional, limited functionality no internal divider and skimpy with the pen holders and pockets.
Contents roll around in the bag like it was a purse.

High Quality Briefcase
I bought this briefcase last winter and have been very satisfied. It is very sharp looking but isn't pretentious- an important quality for a new associate. It is the perfect size for my lap top and files. Most importantly, it has held up very well- it is of the finest material and construction. I highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a briefcase.

Rugged and refined: a winning combination
This briefcase is an all-around winner. It would be hard to do better.
It is classic in style and reminds me of a horse saddle bag. It is well-made (as expected). The leather is a burgundy color and goes well with either brown or black attire. The inside lining is handsome. It provides ample space, so you do not have to pick and choose what to take with you--simply take it all. It offers both a sturdy shoulder strap and top handle for easy carrying.
The only possible drawback are the buckles. It might be nice to have a less old-fashioned means of closing the bag, but then again, it would not be completely faithful to its classic looks. I try to take the time to use the buckles, but if in a hurry, it also works fine to leave the straps unbuckled.

Fabulous and striking
The gold hardware combined with the rich cognac color make this bag hard to avoid noticing. The pinstripe lining is what really impressed me and put this bag above other similar leather bags. However, would have looked it more with silver hardware.

Surely you don't have to unstrap the flap each time. Are there snaps or something else behind those?

The buckles are real, so you would have to unstrap them. However, I usually just leave them unbuckled.2 years, 4 months ago

Hello Faith,Sorry I did not see your question until today. Unfortunately you do have to unstrap the flaps each time, which can be burdensome, but I got used to it by now, I think one would get used to it. You should go to a store and check it out in case you want to see how they work.

Answer:
Yes, the main pocket is one large pocket with a smaller thinner pocket for folders and the like. It also has pen organization on that "thinner" pocket. There are two medium sized pockets in the front of the bag. These pockets serve to further help organize items. I have attached a pic trying to show what it looks like. Hope it helps.1 year, 8 months ago

Hi, I have this bag, and have been in some snow and rain. It seems to just shed everything. I have not even had any spots. I gave mine a quick overall shoe polish when I bought it, as I do with all my leather bags, I think that really helps. Just a soft rag and ten minutes and some BB shoe cream is all you need. That's my trick, and I have never had a problem with any leather bag. Hope this helps you out.1 year, 4 months ago

Answer:
Sorry for the delay in answering, forgot about the question. Well.... Yes and no. Yes in that when I have worn it out on the rain nothing inside gets wet but no in that rain spots are left on the bag when it rains, they dry out but that means rain can affect it. I recommend using an all protector spray or mink oil to further protect briefcase from water damage. I have used the bag in very inclement weather and it holds up just fine, but the extra protection, that I recently added, will help preserve the bag in top condition for a longer period of time. I hope this answers your question.2 years, 4 months ago

Yes, footballs are usually "thermally bonded" so its a type of bonded leather. What they are specifically referring to is the style, with the little bumps, just like a football. It is more than likely also made of pigskin, like a football.1 year, 8 months ago
