very good Purchased three polos at my local Brooks Brothers store, very pleased with the colors and overall quality. As others have noted, the slim fit range is wonderful for correcting the blousy appearance common with other brand polos. However, my one wish is that the sleeves were longer, it tends the give the shirt the appearance of being slightly too small even though the shirt itself fits correctly. June 1, 2012
golden fleece I took a wild guess and picked the slim fit rather than the regular fit for my boyfriend, luckily it turns out that he prefers the slim fit! I think if you have a trim build, go for the slim fit, because to be completely honest, a baggy polo shirt never looks good on anybody. January 13, 2012
Lambs on the Polos This yellow polo shirt was one of the few polos that Brooks Brothers came out with this year that had the same color logo as the shirt itself. I would've bought 10 more if the other colors didn't have obnoxious colored logos on the front of them. For example, there was a nice orange one but it had an ugly purple logo on it. July 16, 2011
Easily one of my best polos This polo is the best simple polo you could find. It fits really well and the logo, even though I don't always like the logo, looks pretty good on the polo. I got the navy one and it's the best polo I've seen so far! July 6, 2011

For your polo shirts, I am concerned that the slim fit may be too "slim." I am 6"0, yet only 135 lbs. and the Medium original fit polo I have is way to baggy. Should I size down to a S slim fit or original fit? But are the slim fits hugging the body? I just hope they are not to tight. Thank you.

The slim fit keeps the shirt from belling out. If you are 6 ft and 135 the Slim fit will not be too slim for you. I am 6'3" and 190lbs and the slim fit is perhaps not fitted enough, however I really like these polos and the fit is one of the best among all the other brands I have tried

Although the slim fit does tend to hug the body closer than the regular fit does, it certainly isn't skin tight. If you feel you have a trim build, (which is sounds like you do) then I would persuade you to go for the slim fit. Its not only flattering, but also a better fit overall. if you are concerned about it being too tight, don't put your shirt through the dryer. instead, lay it flat to dry so the fibers do not tighten and shrink over time!

I would think based on my experience as a shopper that the novelty shirt is more about the out of the ordinary colors that are provided. the slim fit is the same in any style of the polo

The novelty polo is just a difference in colors, it fits just like the slim fit golden fleece polos.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Our Performance Polos are treated with a special finish that helps to control and maintain moisture, such as perspiration. Our Pique Polos are a standard cotton offering that is not treated. The colors are quite similar indeed, however the handfeel may differ, so it is important to consider what finish would provide more comfort.

If you are on the husky side i would think and xl slimfit. If you are thin perhaps the large slim fit. But my mantra is Try it on

The Slim Fits are known for being cut closer to the body and a bit shorter than the regular fit polos. I would try a Slim Fit in a Medium based on your build.

Brooks Brothers does not offer customer polos at this time. However, there are several custom clothiers and bespoke tailors who would be happy to wait on you.

If it's a button down, I've seen some without the logo. If you're referring to the three-button pique polo style, those always have the logo. And I, personally, always receive compliments on the Novelty logo ones because it's different. Plus not everyone's wearing them, which sets one apart.

Unfortunately, our Made to Measure program does not include performance polos. Also, all of our polos have the Golden Fleece insignia.

I am 6 2' 185lbs, 34 waist and I wear a medium regular fit polo. Would a medium slim fit work for me or should I get a large? Is the only difference that it is slimmer at the waist or is length and chest also different? Thank you.

I wear a M in regular and a Large in slim fit. You should go try them on, but the slim will be slimmer in the chest area. If the regular fit M is perfect a L slim shirt work, if the M is boxy then M slim may be best.

Hi, I just bought a Med Slim Fit and it fits very well right now, if a bit snug. Is the fabric pre-shrunk? How much can/should I expect them to shrink in the wash?

As with any fabric that is subject to shrinkage, my best advice would be to NOT place it in the dryer. Although the polos seem to be pre-shrunk, over time the fibers will tighten if they are placed in the heat of the dryer. Instead, lay your wet polo on a flat surface to dry, in order to prevent wrinkles!
