Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally, at long last...A WINNER! At long last, the Brooks Brothers we love seems to have gotten the photo and description right for Full Dress Tails! This new Fall 2013 picture is well done! Bravo! I'm a conductor and have worn tails, white pique accessories, and black patent formal bow pumps by Brooks Brothers EXCLUSIVELY for over a decade now. My teacher introduced me to the firm years ago. Now, I encourage my students and colleagues to buy Brooks Brothers as well. The fit, the styling and the design of the Brooks Brothers garments are absolutely top drawer...better than any others you can find! September 27, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good option for full dress This jacket and trousers make a good-quality option for full evening dress, getting a lot of the details right (though I wish the lapel facings were the more elegant grosgrain instead of satin). I'm mystified, though, by BB's description of this white-tie ensemble as a "tuxedo," illustrated by a model wearing what you'd never want to wear with this: a black tie, a pleated dinner shirt, and a cummerbund. This is meant to be worn with a detachable-collar marcella evening shirt, a formal white marcella waistcoat, and a white piqué self-tie bow tie—all of which are available from Brooks Brothers. Oddly enough, some of those items are labeled "tuxedo," here too. September 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful product, but... Why on earth is the model in the photo wearing tails with black tie and a cummerbund? And why does the description say this is a "tuxedo" jacket? This is completely erroneous. A tailcoat should only be worn with full evening dress, meaning a white bow tie and white waist coat, and is completely different from a "tuxedo" jacket. This error in styling and description is very unfortunate, and not expected from a company such as Brooks Brothers... February 20, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Now, that the picture has been updated, it is less incorrect. The problem is that the fit is very poor. Jacket is oversized (make it more fitted, please), and the troursers needs to be a little more high rise or raise it with the braces if it is the case (it is intolerable to show the shirt bellow the waistcoat). The positive is that the waistcoat is not shown bellow the jacket. Nevertheless, it is an advance. May 1, 2013
