Great... for a while These gloves fit me great over the course of a winter and a half until I got caught in a very heavy, unexpected rainstorm one day while on a long walk. The gloves have probably shrunk a full size since then and always leave my wrists exposed to the elements. If you know that you are not going to get them wet, these are otherwise good gloves with a very soft, warm lining. January 22, 2013
Stylish and Warm Just picked up the British Tan at my local store today and couldn't be happier. The leather is very soft and supple, the cashmere lining is thick and warm, and the stitching is a very nice touch. December 28, 2012

I didn't try the small, but the medium was a perfect fit and I am 8 1/2 circumference. You would probably be a small assuming your fingers are shorter in proportion to your circumference.

These cashmere lined gloves measure 8 1/2" long (from top of middle finger to palm). Also measure 4 1/2" below pinky finger across 4 fingers to below index finger. This is a Large size.

I would suggest an XL. I have the same finger span and my hand is 8 1/2" in circumference. XL is snug on me, but not too tight as the leather gives.

Hi HermanSW. My hand is 8" long and 10.5" in circumference (not my fist but relaxed hand), and the XL fit me perfectly. I hope that helps.

My husband's hand circumference is a size 8". Although his dominant hand is slightly larger than 8", we did not have a problem with a medium. I bought a medium and they fit perfectly on both of my husband's hands.
