Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent Shoe A good looking shoe, but couple things to be aware of: 1) Shoe is initially comfortable, but since it is a boat shoe, don't expect to go for a 5 mile walk in these...best left for casual strolls at the mall or outdoors 2) Since these are usually worn sockless, your feet will get sweaty; the blue dye on the inside of the shoe also start to rub off on my feet, turning it a bit blue 3) The bottom of the shoe is white, so it will get dirty relatively easily 4) Def. snug, but since worn sockless I would get a half size smaller than what you normally wear October 22, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boat shoes I bought these shoes for my 24 year old son. He has always worn "Sperries" since he was a child, but I thought these shoes looked a bit more sophisticated and sturdy. Indeed they are! A young gentleman who is extremely fussy has worn them everyday since they arrived. Success! October 13, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by A classic shoe of tremendous quality! I purchased this boat shoe last May. After almost a year of heavy use, these shoes still look the way they did when they came out of the box! March 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great boat shoe but heres the deal on fit If you wear with no socks then get a whole size smaller than what you get in sneakers i wear a 10 sneakers, 9.5 shoe and this in a 9.....for the most part anyway...but fit snug and took a week to break in then felt softer and fit right classy looking boat shoe since most have a white bottom December 11, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Boat Shoe Wore it at my 50-th reunion at Dartmouth. Fit right in. I like the look, the feel, the comfort. June 15, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Tough fit, but a beautiful casual shoe I have found it difficult to purchase shoes, not just from Brooks Brothers, but in general. I believe the problem is my high instep in conjunction with a slightly wide foot. These shoes fit me well in a 10, but I still need to break them in. I have worn them for a few days, but they are still a bit stiff, which causes some discomfort throughout the middle of my foot, and just above my heel. Overall, the appearance is fantastic (especially with some nice Bermuda shorts and a Golden Fleece polo), and the construction is second to none. June 20, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoes I get a lot of complements with these shoes. You can never go wrong with dark blue shoes. these look great and can wear them with any kind of casual outfit. Only downside is that they are pretty stiff at first so needs to be broken in. Otherwise, awesome pair of shoes! July 6, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Colored boat shoes are a great wardrobe concept! II've always owned the traditional dark brown boat shoe. I recently purchased a blue pair and couldn't be happier, as the colored versions can help make a true fashion statement! They look great with bright colored pants. March 31, 2011

I have never ordered shoes online and am very unfamiliar with the sizing chart. I wear a 9.5 would I just order a 9.5 or would my size be different on this sizing chart?
Thank you.

I wear a 10.5 for my other shoes and they fit well. I have read some reviews and they say to purchase these boat shoes in 1/2 to 1 size smaller than the usual size I purchase.

Answer:
I bought these shoes a half size smaller than other shoes I wear. Since I never wear socks with boat shoes and the leather usually streches out a little, a half size smaller usually does the job. So far, the shoes have worn great, they look great, and fit well.

Answer:
They are true to size. I'm an 11 and they fit perfectly. Though I recently wore them with socks(I know, I know) and they were tight, but hey, what do you expect?
