Great casual boot I am extremely happy with the boot. It is an excellent casual boot with a little more style than the Red Wing casual boots. The unbranded rubber sole is similar to the rubber sole used on higher priced Peal & Co rubber soled shoes. Good fit and comfort. December 3, 2011
A boot for a jean or suit They look great with jeans, slacks, and even suits. There was some hesitation when my sales rep told me they work with a slim suit. I came in on my lunch with a grey suit on to test out his theory & was more than pleased. The rubber sole is going to be ideal for MI winters- great grip and support. November 28, 2011

In my experience, the rubber sole is great for wet weather. It may be obvious to some, but the leather shouldn't be exposed to water unless treated. I used some mink oil to treat mine and it did not affect the color in my case. Even still, I would walk through the snow or wear in heavy rain. These a decidedly not a work boot, but great for business casual and weekend wear.

I would say they are cold weather boots that can hold up to mild inclement weather but are not sturdy enough to trudge through the snow or heavy rain. If that is what you are looking for I would suggest maybe some of the Red Wing boot selections.

This construction is like any other dress shoe but taller. If properly treated and cared for it should be alright for normal wear and tear with inclement weather. It is by no means a specifically designed rain or snow boot.
