Besides the slim fit as it is, it is definitely running small. I am size M for most BB outwear, and size 38R for BB suits and sport coats. Size M jacket is too small for me. And considering the shrinkage, as the denim is unwashed, I am unsure either to buy size L or XL for myself.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Our Levi's Trucker Jacket is a medium weight, as are most denim jackets. However, it is pre-rinsed and has a stiffer handfeel than is typical of denim jeans. That may be something to consider if you prefer softer fabrics.
