Rated 1 out of 5 by Very poor fit with low rise profile. Why change??? I have been wearing the "traditional cut" Brooks Gabardine trousers for as long as I can remember, which is more than 20 years. When I recently went to replace some of my aging pants, I was shocked to discover the radical change in the cut and fit of the Madison version of these trousers. I purchased 12 pairs, yes 12!, to replace my old Brooks trousers. I ordered them in the same size I used to wear, but found that they were extraordinarily tight, with absolutely NO room in the thighs and seat. So, I returned all 12, and promptly purchased another 12 pairs that were 2 inches larger in an effort to get something even close to fitting. Well, the waist was marginally better, but the new low rise cut was so uncomfortable and so EXTREMELY tight in the thigh and seat area that the pants are basically not wearable. The trousers just do not fit properly with the new “low rise” profile. I am not sure why Brooks re-designed what was, in effect, a classic cut. This is even more perplexing given that Brooks has rolled out additional cuts (Fitzgerald, Regent, Milano) that one would think cover the needs of customers looking for a slimmer profile. A recent article in the WSJ noted a Brooks representative who discussed making ALL of the Brooks cuts more tailored. Why? I suspect that your average customer is not looking for trousers that complement their skinny jeans collection! Another note: Production of the Gabardine trousers has recently shifted to Thailand. Long-time Brooks customers, like me, will recall that up until several years ago, all of these trousers were made in Canada. I have noticed that the quality of the wool has declined markedly. With the Canadian Gabardines, I was able to go an entire day in the office without noticing any real wrinkles in the seat area. With the new low-quality Thailand material, after 1-2 hours the pants are so wrinkled that it is embarrassing. I am now incented, for the first time in my 30 years of shopping at Brooks, to seek out a new retailer who better understands and listens to their customers. It is remarkable that these comments have been appearing for over a year with no reaction by the company. That is a shame, as historically, these and other products have been fantastic. Sadly, that is no longer the case. PLEASE listen to your customers and change these back to the previous cut. I will gladly buy another 12+ pairs if you do! January 6, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Got Wrinkles? These pants look great. Unfortunately, after a day sitting at the desk, they are very wrinkled. Hanging them overnight will not remove the wrinkles. You need to use an iron. December 4, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Revised pant style fits more like "old" style Last year, I purchased some new Madison fit trousers and realized they had changed the fit to make them less traditional and more like a "low rise" pant that would not even fit in my wait size. Brooks Brothers listened to the negative feedback about the new style and redesigned the pants to make them much closer to the "old" regular rise fit. The pants fit much better, and I am very impressed with the redesign. It's nice to know there are still some companies that listen to their customers and take action to correct something that people are unhappy with! October 22, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by The pants arrived but were not altered at all. The site asked what length and waist size I wanted, and I responded 32 inch inseem and 1 inch additional waist. I had to have them altered by my tailor. October 13, 2011

A local BB salesman says BB does not make pants in long anymore. Is this correct? Might BB still have any 38 long pants anywhere in the country?
Thanks.

I am looking at the Regent Fit Plain-Front Classic Gabardine Trousers, Madison Fit Plain-Front Unfinished Gabardine Trousers and the Madison Fit Plain-Front Classic Gabardine Trousers on your website, all in the lite grey color. Each lite grey looks different in the pant images. Are they the same lite grey fabric? Or they all different?

Thankss
