They are -VERY- slightly lighter blue than the main navy. From a few feet away, the suit appears to be solid with a very nice texture. It is very subtle, and very sharp and one of my favorite suits I own.

The stripe is a lighter and brighter blue alternating on a navy base. The tonal stripes are subtle on the suit.
