Any gentleman must have at least a few pairs of these socks in his closet.
From day 1 these socks will look good, feel good and they will wear luxuriously time and time again, just so long as you do not treat them like common or garden type nylon rough shods.
Wear these socks with good footwear and your feet will feel like a million bucks.
Pros: 1- These socks do not lose their elasticity and so you don't have to keep pulling them up all time like so many other socks these days, so these are really comfortable and a pleasure to wear.
2- These socks also FEEL very luxurious, even after many years of use, just so long as you care for them like any other luxury woolen item. These are not cheap nylons, they are more like a Rolls Royce, so don't expect this luxury item to last if you treat them like cheap trash.
3- These will always look as good as they feel. You never have to worry about these socks poking out for a peek when you are dressed up and trying to look your best, you can wear these with great confidence, new or old, they will always impress if seen under your trousers.
4- You will spend a whole lot more to find a similar or better quality item, and even then, these socks will compete well with other more expensive brands.
This review was written after many years of owning and purchasing these socks and there will always be a few pairs, at least, in my closet at home or my travel bag when on the move.
Buy these socks, care for them and you will enjoy years of good quality use from them.

Great fit and feel, good value...Note that the size stamped on the inside right sock will show with a loafer style shoe. Not a big deal for me personally...kind of Old School...

Fine everyday dress socks. Only problem is that the brilliant white lettering on the socks does not fade after several washings and the lettering is visible when you sit.

When I started wearing these, Brooks Brothers still had a Chicago store on Madison Avenue--back in the days when one salesperson had all your sizing and other personal information either memorized or available in a little notebook. Willard suggested a few pair of the over-the-calf version with a suit purchase and I've been a fan ever since (Carter administration). Buy a size 1/2 smaller than your shoe size, wash them in cold water and air dry them; they'll look great and last twenty years.

Very nicely packaged for shipping. The socks are very light-weight, leaving me in some doubt about their durability. They do look nice, however, and they stay up, which was my main short-term objective.

I've purchased 20+ pairs over the last 15 years. These socks will last for many years with proper care. I wash in warm water with fabric softener and hang to dry. If you think you might put them in the dryer, buy 1-2 sizes larger or plan on handing them down to your children. A few pairs developed holes in the wool near the top of the socks and at the heel and had to be thrown out earlier than expected. Don't wear them with new shoes or the heel will wear prematurely.
