Rated 5 out of 5 by Matz Concerning the Milano Donegal three-button 1818 suit, the text online states the suit is undarted, but the photograph shows a darted coat. Otherwise it's a good looking suit.

I recently purchased this suit in 42R and am waiting to do alterations until I confirm if the pants, in the relatively thick material, can be slimmed to a 32" waist (from 36") without compromising their quality fit and construction. A 4" slimming seems excessive and I want to be certain the pants will continue to look exceptional.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. We do advise against tailoring pants that drastically. It will affect the location of pocketing as well as the overall shape through the leg. Traditionally, we do not recommend altering trousers more than one whole size for the integrity of the garment. Our Milano Donegal Three-Piece 1818 Suit is one of our favorites this season, we can certainly understand your desire to have it fit.We do hope this information is helpful.
Kind regards,
