Rated 5 out of 5 by House Slippers For Real Men For men who want comfort, quality, and convenience, these slippers will satisfy like no others. Time was when other well-known shoe makers produced very similar designs, and of farily similar quality, but Brooks Brothers is, as is the case in so many other categories of men's clothing and furnishings, fairly well stands alone now. Not only are they of the finest, supple leather, but they even come in half-sizes--unheard of in today's "one-size-fits-all" culture. October 6, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tradition, luxury and status It is easy to understand how this slipper became a classic. It was standard uniform dress in the best English private schools across the world, and for good reason. The best English boot-makers would be required to make a certain minimum quantity for each school every year. Students would identify their "houses" or "teams" by the color, logo or style of slipper, but generally these would be a standard uniform dress for all students. The style and design obviously evolved into the wonderful product we see today, and this BB slipper is obviously made by one of the best of those original boot-makers, and, judging by the high quality, the one I bought must have been English made. These slippers are designed and manufactured to last a very long time, so expect them to become old friends as they mold around your foot with time, just like a glove. The leather is resilient but soft and supple, the dye and finish is exactly as you would expect from a high quality item and the soft leather soles are just pure pleasure on any floor, carpet, wood or stone. These are not your ultra luxurious throw away slippers which feel perfect one day and need to be discarded a few months later. These slippers will age well and will stretch and mold well to your feet. The older they become, the better they become, which is why this style has survived through the centuries so well. My BB slippers appear to be true to size, although, they will feel tight when new. Remember, the soft nappa leather needs to stretch a little. I have done this before and made the mistake of sizing up because they seemed a better fit. Don't make the same mistake, these are true to size, and broad feet will be fine in the "D", trust me, I'm a US"EE". I gave my new slippers a good treatment of leather conditioner a day or two before wearing them because I wanted to prepare the leather to stretch nice and evenly from the first day, and they did very well. My first pair was bought a while ago and now I have just bought a second pair for use as a spare. English equivalents, from top shoe makers, will not be better quality, and you will not find better value at a similar price without a reduction in the quality of either materials or construction. Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent ...but wish... Still my favorite classic leather slippers - the rich soft leater that expands if necessary for a slightly wider foot. I would like to see a "tricot" lining, that is a non-leather lining (at least the inner sole) as if you wear your slippers often for any great length of time, your foot sweat may lead to the slipper sticking a bit to your bare soles. (Note: I am not a "heavy sweat-er.") But these are still my favorites! The only real competitor are Church's of England leather slippers, which are also made with fine soft leather (unlike Draper's of England). Brooks Brothers: Are you aware that many of the leather Church's slippers are lined with a "cloth" material, But beware: some of their slippers are lined with a felt-like material which tend to become worn quickly or the felt ripples with wear. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great slippers Terrific quality, look and comfortable feel. I never really wore slippers around the house until I purchased these. I'm very happy with this purchase. January 13, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent shoe This slipper is an excellent shoe that will last fr a very long time. I have found it useful to size down a bit to get a perfect fit(I usually wear a 10, I buy these slippers in 9). The quality of these shoes is striking, especially relative to other alternatives out there. January 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Real Slippers These are wonderful. They bring me back to my boyhood when slippers like this were much more common. The leather is so soft, like little elves' gloves. The craftsmanship is top notch as well. January 30, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great slippers I have several pairs of Peal shoes, so I knew I would not be disappointed in the slippers. They are excellent, and I know I will love them for years to come. October 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best house slippers These slippers are the best I've ever purchased for my husband. The leather is incredibly soft. November 18, 2009

I wear tie shoes in my dress and casual shoes. I rarely wear slip ons. I wear an 11.5C in deress shoes and a 12M or 12D in casual shoes. What size would you suggest for these bedroom slippers?

Answer:
Size down a bit. The leather is very supple and stretches amazingly to you your foot. If you buy your accurate size, you run the risk of them fitting loose over time

Answer:
Hello, based on the size you typically wear for your dress shoes, we recommend that you select a size 11.5 in our Nappa Full Slipper. These slippers will likely have a bit of give to them and may stretch a tiny bit over time. If you select a 12, they may simply be too loose.

Kind regards,
