Rated 5 out of 5 by The most practical boy's shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The oxford shirt is a very good quality shirt. It is very easy to maintain. You don't have to iron the shirts, it washes very well and my son always looks nicely dressed. We have been buying these shirts from when my son was a size 6 and as of now he is a size 14. As time goes on, I hope Brooks Brothers will not run out of his size . January 12, 2011

Rated 5 out of 5 by This is the best purchase ever! I bought one shirt of all three colors and I have never been more satisfied with a purchase in my life! The quality is amazing, the shirts have maintained their color very well and they are really easy ironed. The fit is excellent. BB Mens shirts are unfortunately too big for me. When it comes to Boys shirts, the BB Large is usually a little one the short side for me but the Xtra Large is way to "loose fit" for me. Size 18 fits me like a glove and I just wish BB would make this shirt in more colors available on the Internet for us who does not have the blessing to live in USA! The only thing I am not that fond of is the chest pocket, I could easily do without it but it is not that big of a deal. These shirts looks great with a bow tie at a garden party or under a sweater for that dressed up, yet casual look. This shirt is a best buy and well worth every penny! January 31, 2012

I am between a size six and an eight and I purchased a size 18. It is marginally too big for me but I love that I can tuck it in. I have been purchasing the boys shirts for years as they fit better with the double buttons at the sleeves and the button down collars no longer seem available in ladies wear. These shirts last forever and need little or no ironing.

Depending on her build/fit she usually wears, we recommend the below in boys' size:

If she wears Tailored fit (slimmest fit of shirts) – Size 12
Fitted fit (slim fit)- Size 14
Classic fit (fullest fit) – Size 16

How would you describe the fabrics? I am looking for a shirt with a fair amount of body. How do the Non-Iron Pinpoint Button-Down Dress Shirt and the Non-Iron Supima® Oxford Button-Down Dress Shirt compare? (I do not have a BB where I live to go to and check this out, I shop generally BB only online.) Thanks for your input.

I don't know if there is a difference in fit, but I did notice a difference in fabric. The Pinpoint is a crisper material, like a men's dress shirt, almost a bit of a starched feeling to it. The Supima is not as stiff or starched feeling, but is softer, a bit more oxford-like, but soft. Hope that helps!

It is a matter of personal style preference. However, pinpoint is more formal than an oxford shirt. So, if the venue or function dictates something formal, go with the pinpoint shirt.
