First Pair of Peal Dress Shoes I decided to get a quality shoe for my Brooks Brother's suits and decided on Peal. The appearance and quality is superb. Really brings out the appearance of a well dressed man. The first few wears the heels seem to slip and rubbed against my heal. My shoe size is a 8W which I purchased for these shoes. At first I thought I should have purchased a half size smaller but after several wears the shoes broke in and fit perfect. Perfect fit in width. Extremely comfortable shoes! January 13, 2012
Excellent quality shoes Recently purchased the shoes in brown and really like the shade of brown. A lighter reddish brown unlike most other Peal & Co. shoes in brown. The color looks best with blue and grey suits however the shoe also can be worn with jeans The shoes fit true to size and are quite comfortable. December 31, 2011

This refers to the width. I believe D is standard, and E is wider. More information is available on the web via a simple search.

It's the width of the shoe being E wider than D, the latter is considered standard.
