Nice suit pants
I ordered these pants to go along with the accompanying jacket. The pants are good quality and look and feel upscale. I'll probably buy more pairs just to wear with business casual outfits (i.e., without the jacket). My waist size in men's pants is almost always in the 34-36" range so ordered the 36". Despite getting the larger size in my normal range, the pants were somewhat tight in the waist so I ended up exchanging them for a 37". I have never needed such a big waist size, but when returning the 36" pants to a Brooks Brothers store the salesman said these pants do run small and it is a common occurance. If ordering online I'd recommend ordering a few different sizes so you can keep the one that fits best and return the rest. Fit is perfect otherwise.

A Very Good Everyday Suit
These pants, along with the jacket are a very good everyday suit. The Suiting Essentials line provides a nice modern trim fit while also providing good value. Highly recommended.

Finally! Pants "off the rack" for TALL, SLIM guys!
Finally... pants for those of us who happen to be tall and slender at the same time. Being 6'4" and 165lbs., it's a CHORE to find pants that fit "just right." Tailoring of pants can only do so much, too. Take in a little at the waist or in the inseam and the legs could still remain baggy.
For years, I was hooked on another brand, until they decided to become "too trendy" and went with the "low-rise" EVERYTHING across their entire line. Drove me "bananas!"
These suit pants are so good, I buy them without the suit coat and just use them as my dress pants of choice for work.
The cut in the leg is slim and modern but not so much so that you feel as if you're trying too hard. They sit very comfortably at the HIP/WAIST, not below where you feel as if you're wearing something too low/trendy. They hold up extremely well and I wear these all year long in both warm and cold weather.
An excellent pant by Brooks Brothers for those who want a nice, clean, modern professional look without looking out of fashion or as if you're trying too hard to be trendy.

Best slacks Brooks makes for slim guys
If you have a slimmer body, these fit better than any slacks made by Brooks. The fabric is better than the garbadines and fits much better as well. The Brooksease slacks are way too baggy on me.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. You may certainly alter our Plain-Front Suiting Essential Trousers. Simply select a size 34 in Navy and then choose "Add Alterations." Then, under "Choose a Waist" you must select "Take out 1 inch." Additionally, you may decide if you want the pants cuffed or uncuffed, there is a field for that as well. Please be aware, due to alterations, the arrival date of the trousers may be a bit longer than is typical.We do hope this information is helpful, best of luck in your selection.

If you are simply interested in standard alterations, such as finishing the bottom hems, there will be no charge. Additional, more tedious tailoring, such as letting the waist out, involves a bit more work and therefore a fee.We do hope this information is helpful.
