Rated 5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great casual loafers I ordered the tan version of this loafer. The color is excellent, with a nice depth typical of Chromexcel leather. Workmanship is great. I had high expectations for these shoes in terms of looks and workmanship and they did not disappoint. Regarding sizing, my Brannock size is 9D and I believe I have a pretty average foot shape. Most of my shoes are size 9D or equivalent (such as Alden Barrie last 8.5D). I ordered these in 8.5D because they did not have any 9D in stock and since I plan to wear them sockless or with thin socks, I was hoping that 8.5D would work. They were initially pretty tight in the area around the "penny strap", but there were ample room in the toe box and fit fine length-wise. After about an hour of wear, the "penny slot" area loosened up and now they feel comfortably snug with thin socks on. So sizing down by 1/2 works for me on these loafers, at least for the Chromexcel version. These are great shoes and I will most likely own more Rancourt shoes in the future. April 19, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Shoe This is a comfortable, well made, shoe. I purchased this item in green and plan to also get it in blue. The olive color goes well with various looks. I'd highly recommend this item. October 6, 2011

Answer:
Fit is similar. Wider thoughout the entire shoe, though. Less of a point at the toe. Not much difference, but a bit. I take a 12D in the Tassel Loafers and a 12 in these Penny Loafers

Answer:
Hello Trad4me:

It has a lower vamp than the tassel loafer. The shoe is a bit lighter than the tassel loafer since it is not Good Year welted & the tassel loafer is Good Year welted.

Thank you for contacting us.

Have a great day!

I want to buy this pair of shoes, however, if there is one in a store in or near Washington DC, I want to go there to pick up myself.
