Beautiful shoe, well made, but painful to wear I purchased the size 9, and found that the shoes are mostly true to size, if a half size larger than my other dress shoes. The leather is high quality, with a rich aroma and supple finish. The arches have low support, but are nicely cushioned. I experienced no heel slippage. However, as for the fit, please note that the eyelets for the laces in the tongue of the shoe places accute pressure on the tops of both my feet, causing pain. I tried them on with different socks. The fit was not too tight, but the pain persisted. I have walked on the carpet trying to break them in, but the pain will not go away. Therefore I am returning them, regrettably. November 27, 2012
