Fit is Great but Quality lacking After a lot of trial I found the right size and the fit is outstanding in the waist and rise. Length is a tad long but I can tailor that away. As others have mentioned, the piocket linings being white is a major flaw IMO. Would rather they matched. Also, as others have mentioned, the stitching has laready come undone on the side seam under the pocket on one pair and I can tell it will do the same on the others I purchased. Not the kind of quality I was expecting from BB clothing. Overall I am happy with the choice but wish the attention to detail was better. January 10, 2013
Excellent Pant I recently purchased five pairs of these pants and the quality is superior, along with the fit and appearance. My only issue is the white pocket lining. I would like to see tone on tone but its not a deal breaker. I would recommend doing some more seasonial colors and patterns. September 1, 2012
Trimmer Dress Trousers These trousers have a nice clean modern look to them. They have a lower rise and are trimmer in the leg and hips than the Madison fit. January 31, 2012
great slimmer pant i bought 4 pair in the store - gray, charcoal, tan, and navy. all were fine stitching-wise (see below review about threads being shoddy) it's a great pant, runs perhaps a bit long on the inseam, but the waist is true and it doesnt look like youre wearing parachute pants compared to the madison pants i'm not a slim guy but these still fit much better than madison November 16, 2011

Answer:
Be careful! The fits have radically changed from the old Brooks traditional fit. He may need 1-2 inches wider than normal fit to accommodate very tight thigh/seat area, unless he is rail thin.

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. For your husband, we recommend that you choose either the Regent Fit Plain-Front Classic Gabardine trousers, or the Madison Fit Plain-Front Classic Gabardines. The Madison fit is relaxed and roomier, whereas the Regent fit is cut slimmer and may be a bit more snug than anticipated.

We do hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your purchase.

Kind regards,
Brooks Brothers

Because whenever I wear my gabardine suit trousers as odd pants with blazer, suit trousers look like it is missing a matching jacket.

Answer:
Hello sir, thank you for your inquiry. There is little difference in the cut of the gabardine dress pants and those that come with a gabardine suit. The primary difference between the two ultimately comes down to color. Those that are included as part of your suit are woven from the same batch of yarns as the jacket and therefore look unified The dress trousers may have been woven at a different mill and are therefore different in color. Assuming the models (Regent, Milano, Madison or Fitzgerald) are the same, you should see no other difference in the cut of the trousers or the fit.

We do hope this information is helpful.

Answer:
Hello,

The difference is in the fit of trousers. Fitzgerald fit is slimmer and tapered. Whereas, our Regents fit is slightly fuller.

Thank you for contacting us.

Are these pants ever going to be available in 30 waist? Also, if I were to order a pair with 32 waist, could they be taken in 2 inches? Finally, why can't these be altered online while ordering?

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiries. At this time, our Regent Fit Plain-Front Classic Gabardine Trousers are no longer available through our online store in a size 30 waist (we do have a 30 x 30 still). You may certainly contact Customer Service to see when they may become available once again, or to locate a pair in your local store. If you were to select a size 32, you could, conceivably, tailor them to have a smaller waist size but any more than a size up or down could compromise the integrity of the trousers.

We advise that you take all garments to a trusted tailor to have them altered based off your specific measurements, taken in person. Having them tailored without trying them on first could result in an improper fit.

For Customer Service, please call 800/274-1815 or email service@brooksbrothers.com and a representative will gladly assist with additional questions.

We do hope this information is helpful in your decision.
