Rated 1 out of 5 by White lining?! LOVE the look of the fabric and the color choices. The fit is a bit "odd." I usually fit into a 32" waist but these needed to be a 34." Aside from that, what's up with the lining of the pant being white?! As other reviews have referenced, the fabric inside the pockets is white. When sitting down, the lining of the pockets can show. The entire inside lining of the pant near the waistband, etc. is all white, too. It's been a long time since I've seen dress pants with linings like this. A bit "dated" if you ask me, and certainly not what I expect of Brooks Brothers. Brooks Brothers seems to be "going on the cheap" lately, and I'm not fond of that. I've been sending back more and more items than I am keeping them when ordering. February 17, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Lacking quality and attention to detail I purchased 3 pair of these pants in February of this year. After 7 months, the hem stitching of two of the pairs was coming undone. The stitching in the crotch of the 3rd pair was also coming undone. I took all 3 pair to my tailor who said he wasn't surprised as he sees lots of BB clothing come through his shop. Considering the price I paid that was disappointing to hear. He also mentioned that there was far too much material left in the hem; it was sloppy. I agree as there was a good 2-3 inches of material folded over. I am having the tailor redo the hem in all 3 pair. It's frustrating when I think about how little I wear these pants (1x/week). I have pants from "discount" mens stores that have held up for years under much heavier use. Come on you guys, get your act together. September 14, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good fit, poor everything else I really like the fit of these pants; but the stiching and detail is poor. The pocket lining of both the navy and grey pants I received are white, which looks awful walking around. The stiching is comnig apart after 4 wears. The pant hem is already unraveled, in spite having it tailored at a local Brooks Brothers location. Too bad really, because I did like the fit. February 22, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Overall Good, but those pockets! I see a lot of the other comments are about the pockets. If you're considering these pants, you're probably saying to yourself, "What's the big deal if the pockets are white??? Who is going to see the pockets anyway???" Well, the answer to that question is "Everyone is going to see your white pockets!" The pockets are so poorly designed that if you have ANYTHING in your pockets, the pants "pooch" to where the white is clearly visible. And not just a little bit. And, yes, the pockets appear to be white in all colors. I am pleased with everything else about these pants from fit to quality. If the pockets were fixed, they would be a winner. Overall, I still cannot recommend these as is. The pockets are that bad. May 30, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointing Quality I had high hopes for these pants. Unfortunately the quality was lacking and I cannot recommend them to other potential purchasers. The seams along the sides of both pairs started to come apart after one wearing, as have the leg hems. The front button on one pair was also literally hanging by a thread when it arrived. I ended up taking them to a tailor, which was an expense I'd hoped to avoid by buying from BB. November 24, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Pant I recently purchased five pairs of these pants and the quality is superior, along with the fit and appearance. My only issue is the white pocket lining. I would like to see tone on tone but its not a deal breaker. I would recommend doing some more seasonial colors and patterns. September 1, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by great pants, poor quality Pants are great but I was dissappointed by the quality. Out of the box the pants had strings dangling from the seams. The pant materials and fit are great however the quality is suspect. February 18, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Trimmer Dress Trousers These trousers have a nice clean modern look to them. They have a lower rise and are trimmer in the leg and hips than the Madison fit. January 31, 2012

Answer:
Be careful! The fits have radically changed from the old Brooks traditional fit. He may need 1-2 inches wider than normal fit to accommodate very tight thigh/seat area, unless he is rail thin.

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. For your husband, we recommend that you choose either the Regent Fit Plain-Front Classic Gabardine trousers, or the Madison Fit Plain-Front Classic Gabardines. The Madison fit is relaxed and roomier, whereas the Regent fit is cut slimmer and may be a bit more snug than anticipated.

We do hope this information is helpful. Best of luck with your purchase.

Brooks Brothers

Because whenever I wear my gabardine suit trousers as odd pants with blazer, suit trousers look like it is missing a matching jacket.

Answer:
Hello sir, thank you for your inquiry. There is little difference in the cut of the gabardine dress pants and those that come with a gabardine suit. The primary difference between the two ultimately comes down to color. Those that are included as part of your suit are woven from the same batch of yarns as the jacket and therefore look unified The dress trousers may have been woven at a different mill and are therefore different in color. Assuming the models (Regent, Milano, Madison or Fitzgerald) are the same, you should see no other difference in the cut of the trousers or the fit.

We do hope this information is helpful.

Answer:
An excellent question sir. The concern around the pocket fabric showing is a result of an improper fit. Plain front trousers have less give than their pleated brethren and many gentlemen opt to size up and have the waist taken in, in order to accommodate their seat more comfortably. Other than the few reviews mentioned here, we have not found this to be a common problem in stores and online. Of course, we will continue to pay close attention to this issue going forward.

We do hope this information is helpful.

The difference is in the fit of trousers. Fitzgerald fit is slimmer and tapered. Whereas, our Regents fit is slightly fuller.

Are these pants ever going to be available in 30 waist? Also, if I were to order a pair with 32 waist, could they be taken in 2 inches? Finally, why can't these be altered online while ordering?

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiries. At this time, our Regent Fit Plain-Front Classic Gabardine Trousers are no longer available through our online store in a size 30 waist (we do have a 30 x 30 still). You may certainly contact Customer Service to see when they may become available once again, or to locate a pair in your local store. If you were to select a size 32, you could, conceivably, tailor them to have a smaller waist size but any more than a size up or down could compromise the integrity of the trousers.

We advise that you take all garments to a trusted tailor to have them altered based off your specific measurements, taken in person. Having them tailored without trying them on first could result in an improper fit.

For Customer Service, please call 800/274-1815 or email service@brooksbrothers.com and a representative will gladly assist with additional questions.

We do hope this information is helpful in your decision.

Answer:
Most of our Regent Fit Sport Coats can coordinate with these Regent Fit Gabardine Trousers, and we have provided some options below:

http://www.brooksbrothers.com/Two-B...

http://www.brooksbrothers.com/Regen...

As long as you choose a Regent Fit Sport Coat in a wool construction with a coordinating or corresponding color to the pants you choose, it should appear like a full suit.
