Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent These trousers fit perfect, feel great, and seem to be of the best quality. However, I am on the lean side, those considering this pant should carefully and honestly evaluate their body type, the regent is a slimmer fit with a higher rise. Thanks Brooks Brothers for making a pant that actually fits guys with athletic body types, quality trousers that actually fit are not easy to come by these days. Keep it up! October 5, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Neither the fit nor the feel is what it used to be I've ordered at least two dozen pairs of Brooks Brothers dress trousers in recent years, and this order (May, 2013) was the first one that I had to return. The fit was uncomfortable (never a problem before), and the quality of the fabric has markedly deteriorated. I am extremely disappointed and don't see how I could buy again or recommend to others. And unless things change I'll be pretty depressed when my old, made-in-Canada Brooks Brothers gabardines start to wear out. June 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Quality control was poor - two buttons were missing when the trousers arrived in the mail. (They had never been sewn on). However Brooks Brothers promptly rectified this and the replacement trousers seem good. March 7, 2012

Madison is a full cut, with two pleats. Regent is a trimmer cut, with one pleat. In some parts of BB online, you can put your cursor on the images of various fits, and you'll get a small pop-up window describing the fit, fabric, etc of the item. It would be nice if BB would list and describe all the different fits for pants, shirts, etc in one designated section on their site. HInt! Hint! BB!

Madison is a relaxed fit and Regent is slimmer. The terms allude to the 1818 line of suits which are cut in different styles.

Do the Regent Fit Pleat-Front Classic Gabardine Trousers have one or two pleats? The pictures for the British Tan, Charcoal and Light Grey trousers appear to show TWO pleats, while the Light Tan appears to show ONE pleat.
