(For a dress belt like this, if the buckle was of low quality, the entire belt would appear rather cheap.) I find that I can use both belts (black and tan) for both Dress and Casual Wear. The description by Brooks Brothers should be all that is needed to win you over to this quality item. July 29, 2010

But when I opened the package, it looked more like a dressy belt, but I can always have an extra belt around. If you're asking about the tan belt, the suit i wear it with is the Fitzgerald glen plaid suit (Item 404K) with a pair of tan wingtips. It also works well with summer suits, such as the tan cotton poplins or seersuckers.

I think you will need 34". I usually wear 29" or 30" pants and bought 32" belt, whcih fits nicely.
