Solid shirt, problematic cut but good look
This is another one of the many basic staple shirts that Brooks Brothers offers. The Slim Fit, as always, provides its usual problems: baggy at the waist if you have an athletic cut (a sacrifice you must make if you need to size up from the Extra Slim Fit thanks to a broader chest if you're athletic).
I have this shirt in blue, light blue, pink, and white. All colors are both work appropriate (summer on Wall Street) and great casually as well in the country club, campus, fraternity house, or traveling. I will note that as another reviewer wrote, these shirts do not seem to be of the same quality as the ones I bought two years ago.

These are excellent shirts that should be the staple of any man's wardrobe. I know they will always look good when I grab them from my closet. They have survived regular wear and washing without any signs of deterioration. I own this shirt in just about every color and collar style and I would definitely recommend to someone building a wardrobe or replacing the basics.

Not a "slim fit" shirt by any stretch
This is a beautiful shirt, but I had to return it. I'm 5'7" 150lbs with an athletic build. I bought the 15/32 slim fit and it looked like I had put on a circus tent. Hopefully I have better luck with the extra slim fit.

Average Quality
Since I've purchased these shirts, I have exchanged them for the all cotton shirts to see if the quality of cotton was any better. The quality of cotton used in Brooks Brothers shirts has lessened over the years and are no longer smooth around the collar or to the touch.

I own a BB non iron slim fit shirt cut from the "broadcloth" and it is by far the most exceptional shirt in my closet. The only problem is that its french cuffs are a little too formal for everyday office use. The barrel cuff version only seems to come in "pinpoint" and I want to make sure I will not be disappointed. Is anyone familiar enough with these two materials to provide a contrast?

Traditionally, broadcloth is a finer and thinner weave that pinpoint, which is a finer and thinner weave than oxford. Broadcloth feels very smooth, but also is so much thinner it often requires an undershirt to be worn so you can not see through it when it is on your body.1 year, 8 months ago

I actually prefer pinpoint to broadcloth as it breathes better yet still looks very crisp. I live in the southeast where it hit close to 100 today with 80% humidity and would not fathom having a broadcloth shirt on in that weather. Plus the pinpoint seems to be more durable. While I may be biased, I think oxford cloth (royal and pinpoint) has a better hand and drape to it than broadcloth. I own dress shirts in all three cloths and work in a suit environment. 9 out of 10 times, I still go for the pinpoint or royal oxford just for the feel and drape. I'm not referring to a barrel cuff but rather the extra button around the wrist of the sleeve. I noticed that there was a comment regarding a shirt that didn't have one. What's the standard at BB?

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Typically, our non-iron dress shirts, as well as our more casual sport shirts, do not have buttons at the wrist vent. These buttons are only included in our luxury shirts and our more formal shirt offerings. Certainly not a defect but an excellent question nonetheless.We do hope this information is helpful.
