Supima® Cotton Non-Iron Slim Fit Forward Point Collar Dress Shirt 4.6 5 95 121
Great Shirts I've tried Others and haven't learned a lesson. The Brooks Slim Fit On Iron shirts are the best. Quality is outstanding. These shirts launder great. January 12, 2011
Good quality, but... I have been buying brooks and bought a few extra last year. I found that they used to have two buttons in regular cuff which allows me to tight the wrist up if needed. but the ones I had last year only has one button. I don't like this chnage at all. October 28, 2012
I Always Come Back to This Shirt I've tried out lots of dress shirts, but I always come back to these shirts. The other shirts never feel right. These shirts always fit perfectly. I save money on dry cleaning because the fabric still looks crisp after several wears. The only negative is that sometimes the fabric near the wrist will fray and rip only the seams. August 30, 2012
A good basic dress shirt. This shirt is a good basic dress shirt to wear with a suit. It looks nice. It's comfortable. The non-iron feature is nice. There are two things I would change about this shirt. 1) The "slim-fit" isn't that slim. It still feels pretty loose to me. I tried on the ultra-slim-fit shirt, and that was like wearing a cotton tube. So I wish this one were a little slimmer. 2) There is no second button along the forearm to close the cuffs. The cuff closes solely with a button right on the barrel cuff, but there is nothing a few inches up on the forearm so the slit looks "too open." March 18, 2012

for example, would taking it to the cleaners extend the life of the shirt more than machine washing them?

Answer:
Good questions, actually, dry cleaning your non-iron shirt will not help sustain longevity, but destroy the properties that make this a wrinkle free product. Machine washing is the best care option available for your shirt.

I washed and dried my shirt as soon as I could. I can say the shirt doesn't shrink much for better or worse.

Answer:
These shirts are hard to shrink and yes a dryer can be used on low heat and for a short amount of time, removing them when they are slightly damp. But, I recommend you wash them in cold water and then hang to dry.

Answer:
I've washed and dried these shirts for years with very little shrinkage. Just dry them on a moderate heat setting and take out when your dryer buzzes. Hang them up, button the top collar and hand shape the front placket . These shirts will last at least 52 washings but the trick is to have many of these shirts to alter the wash cycle. Some of mine have lasted for three years. And don't forget to take out those collar stays.

Answer:
The dryer should not shrink it, however I prefer to just let mine hang dry and then quickly iron before wearing. I've found this is best way to get the crispness as if it were straight from the dry cleaners.

Answer:
Hello,

Non-iron shirts should only be in the dryer a minimum of 15 minutes with a low heat setting. Shrinkage is not an issue with Non-iron shirts.

Answer:
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Supima cotton is a bit softer and has a greater luster than all-cotton. In addition, Supima retains color better than most cotton blends. If you prefer your shirts to be thinner, we would recommend that you select one of our Supima cotton dress shirts, most of which are non-iron and require minimal care.

We do hope this information is helpful.

Answer:
I believe the pocket on left chest is a standard for both shirts and blazers/jackets. The only time I've had a pocket on the right is when the shirt had pockets on both sides. I'm sure if you are getting shirts custom made for you though your tailor will put the pocket on your right chest.

Answer:
I've shopped at BB for years. They would probably think it was an odd request to move the pocket. They might suggest you have your shirts custom made ... The sales folks and taylors will want to make you happy, but I still don't think they'll think that moving the pocket is a good idea. It might destroy the shirt.

I am trying to get an idea of what ECRU looks like on your fabric. Any way that you could send a swatch?

Answer:
Think of ecru as a cream/ eggshell color. It is not yellow at all. The best place to see it for yourself is to just go to the Brooks Brothers store.

Answer:
Absolutely yes. However, for best results you may want to run a warm iron over the shirt to "crisp" up the look.

I recently ordered some dress shirts and the collars were smaller than my prior batch. Have you changed them recently? Are the collars the same size for a slim fit and an extra slim fit?
