Rated 2 out of 5 by why is he handle end not stained? I purchased this umbrella and promptly returned it. For some unknown reason, the end of of the handle is not stained and is left as bare wood. So the rich dark stain ends and the handle end is light bare wood. It looks like a crazy manufacturing mistake. Why would a $70 umbrella be shipped with this flaw in design or manufacturing? I am most curious why no one else mentioned this issue. If it is some incredibly cool design feature; it's utility escapes me. -Robert November 16, 2012

Hello, thank you for your inquiry into our Tattersall Umbrella. The wood along the handle is lighter in color but it is indeed sanded and finished for your comfort. The very tip is the only part unfinished and this is purely cosmetic, intended to highlight the appearance of the natural wood used to craft the umbrella.
