Rated 5 out of 5 by CaptainRockjaw Mr Bean or James Bond, these were made for you!
Prince Alberts are an old tradition. They were designed to be worn after your day wear shoes, like any other slipper, except that these could be worn away from home to attend dinner or other evening engagements away from home, such as the theatre or Opera or just to have a whiskey with Phineas Fog at the Adventurer's club before going home to bed.
The shoe has a bedroom slipper upper, lined in soft velvet, like a bedroom slipper, but with a hard leather sole for use on short walks along public sidewalks or "pavements" as they are called in London.
There are Alberts many times more expensive than the BB slipper, but I challenge anyone to find a single improvement in the quality of the more expensive brands above the BB slipper.
These were also designed for formal dinner wear, like the tux, and they look absolutely 007 with black velvet suits.
Of course, they are millions of times more comfortable than hard crackly patent leather as well, and much more classy.
Both Mr Bean and Mr James Bond would wear them to the grocer or to the Casino with a Saville Row tux.

I put these shoes on my feet, and I instantly started dancing like James Brown. These shoes are extremely comfortable, well made, and aesthetically appealing. My feet thank me, and you will to. Go out and get these, and you'll get on the good foot too. It's like walking on sunshine!

I bought these shoes for a black tie wedding in NYC. They were terrific; very comfortable. Now, I can wear them with jeans and a sport jacket or dress slacks and a sweater for casual.

This shoe is meant to be worn with as footwear for a black tie event, but they can be dressed down with a pair of jeans or even chinos. The quilted padding on the sole makes this shoe extremely comfortable.
