Rated 5 out of 5 by Very warm! This jacket has heavy lining that appears to be for show but really keeps you warm. Definitely a great transition into winter coat, and depending on the climate, could act as a winter jacket. It runs a bit small. I usually wear a girls size 12, and I chose the 14 to ensure room for sweaters, etc. underneath it. Sleeves are perfect length, with enough extra to roll them if desired as a styling option. Overall, this coat is definitely worth it! October 17, 2012

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. For a 6-year old young lady, we would typically recommend a size Small. If for some reason she is taller or fuller than other girls her age, you could certainly size up to a Medium, but a Small is best.
