Rated 3 out of 5 by brny Only disappointed with fit
This is what you need on rainy/snowy days with a suit. The dark navy color is great and goes well with anything.
The fit portrayed in the picture seems like the equivalent of a Fitzgerald, i.e., slim with higher armholes. But in reality it is not. It is more like a Madison. The armholes sit pretty low and are large, just as the chest area. If you are strong or chubby, this should fit well. If you are average or slim (I'm 6' 2" and 185lbs) I think it will look baggy. If it wasn't for the fit being too baggy and the armholes too big, I'd take it to a tailor.
Quality of construction is top notch. From the image I thought the wool would feel thin, smooth (almost like nylon) and delicate but it's actually thick, like a super 100s wool, and seems very resistant. The coat has removable interior lining, so it can also be used in warmer months. Plenty of interior pockets and nice detailing throughout.
If your body type fits this garment, it's an excellent value even at full retail price.

This has the material and drape of a vintage gabardine raincoat. It is a beautiful navy with a nice black felt inner collar. The Nehru shape collar stands well without drooping or looking too trendy. It is not ideal for very cold weather but it is great for in and out of the car with a nice wool zip out sleeveless liner. You can fit a suit or sport coat under it. Sizing was true as well

Rated 2 out of 5 by RiverCity804 Nice looking coat but it is not as described
I have looked at this coat online for a season or two and finally decided to order it. Upon receiving it, I found it to be overall disappointing. It is a very nice looking coat and the fabric looks rather smart. That said, the description on the website said it had a zip-out lining, which it does not. This one is a buttoned lining. The product marketing staff updated the design of the coat but continued to use the old website decription (sloppy marketing). From past experience with BB-squared, the buttoned linings do not hold up well and the design folks should have figured that out long ago. Past versions of this coat also had a hidden front closure zipper in addition to the button front, which I really liked. I am giving this coat a 2-star rating because of how important I believe a zip-out lining is to a quality design. Needless to say, I'm pretty disappointed with the purchase. It is just another reason why I would rather purchase from the retail stores, where I can go in and see it in person before buying. Unfortunately though, the store here doesn't seem to get much inventory beyond the basics.

Very nice coat. Drape nicely, looks polished, can handle folding, crunching etc. and still look great. I am even thinking about buying another to keep on reserve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NYNYGIraffe Lightweight and Elegant.
I recently bought this coat for my husband. The first one we ordered was not the right size, so we had to send it back and go one size up. He is normally a size medium, and the 40 Short ended up fitting him perfectly. This is a very elegant coat. It is lined and yet not at all bulky. It is a very lightweight wool. He just got it, so we do not yet know how it will perform in the rain or the snow, but other reviewers seem very satisfied.

Well constructed with fleece interior removable lining. Wish the lining was a little heavy so it could be used winter round. Not meant for sub 35 degree weather. Otherwise really great coat. Definitely recommended.
