BROOKS BROTHERS ANNOUNCES THE CREATION OF THE GOLDEN FLEECE FOUNDATION

FOUNDATION'S GOAL TO MAXIMIZE THE COMPANY'S PHILANTHROPIC EFFORTS

New York, N.Y. (September 27, 2007) - Brooks Brothers proudly announces the creation of the Golden Fleece Foundation, a non-profit organization to be dedicated solely to the financial, developmental, and logistical support of selected local and national charities.

Brooks Brothers has long supported national programs like the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the "Thanks & Giving" program with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and strengthened local charities across the country, such as San Antonio's Cancer Therapy & Research Center and Chicago's Lowcountry AIDS Services. Now, with the establishment of the Golden Fleece Foundation, Brooks Brothers will be able to spearhead philanthropic efforts and formalize the giving process, ensuring the organizations designated most closely reflect the values and beliefs of Brooks Brothers and its customers. The Foundation will be headed by Managing Director Emilie Antonetti, and will partner with other areas of the Brooks Brothers corporation in order to bolster support of non-profit organizations related to men's, women's, and children's health issues the arts and education, be it through financial support, in-kind donations, implementation of new programs or volunteerism itself.

Ms. Antonetti has been with Brooks Brothers and its parent company Retail Brand Alliance, Inc. for ten years during which time she has held leadership roles in the area of retail marketing. She has also been instrumental in many of the companies' philanthropic initiatives.

The Golden Fleece Foundation aims to grow and strengthen that which is considered one of Brooks Brothers' core values: relationships. Not only Brooks Brothers' relationship with its associates and with its customers, but within the communities in which they thrive. The Golden Fleece Foundation will maintain and enhance past and future charity-driven events by forging a strong social link within the charity's community, on a local and national level, so as to make events more rewarding for the charity and their beneficiaries.

Claudio Del Vecchio, Chairman and CEO of Brooks Brothers, has said; "The Golden Fleece Foundation is a new venture that I have looked forward to announcing for a very long time. I consider it an extension of all we have accomplished thus far, and I believe it will grow to exemplify the best of what Brooks Brothers stands for."
