Wears Thin too Quickly
I have been purchasing these over-the-calf socks for several years. My only issue with the quality is that the heel wears thin too quickly. The material does not seem to be sufficiently reinforced to withstand normal wear.

Very Comfortable Socks
Like the fit very much and they are extremely comfortable. I only hope they wear as well and as long as the last set of six pair I purchased--that is to say the quality has not been degraded. They also look professional with any shoe or pair of trousers.

Over the calm navy merino wool socks
I have been wearing the same BB's over the calf merino wool navy (so I don't end up with one black and one navy) for 30 years now. Amazing how time flies, since- I was a young man in NYC. They are still good but this latest batch I just ordered the fabric seems a bit thinner. They say that change is inevitable, embrace it. But I like the fit, the fact that they always stay up and the dark navy color.

So-so socks
The feel of the wool is good, but the heel part of the sock becomes badly worn through faster, by far, than for any sock I've ever owned. I continue to buy these socks for the feel and look, but their short lifespan makes them an extravagance. Brooks ought to do something about this issue or I will stop buying their brand of wool socks once I locate another brand with a similar "feel."
