Rated 5 out of 5 by A Brooks Brothers home run, just beautiful I'm 41, 5'6", 135 pounds - trim & fit, a 36S which is hard to find in stores. There are few options for off-the rack clothing for me that are the right mix of smart, trim and timeless - I was so pleased when Brooks brought out the Fitzgerald line and I'm glad to see them expand it. I ordered this jacket in the summer and just now got it, but it was absolutely worth the wait. It fits just about perfectly off the rack - not boxy but also not too-fashionably tight. The hopsack material is great - it has a subtle weave that resists wrinkles and works well dressed down or up as it lacks sheen. Combined with the partial lining, which is well taped, it should wear well in all seasons - breathing in summer yet not looking too light in winter thanks to the midweight wool. Well made in USA by UNITE workers. If you only have one blazer, and you're reasonably fit, you needn't look any further - this is the one to get. The absolute best mix of value, quality, and enduring style. Congratulations BB! January 2, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Young Professional Blazer this blazer is perfect for me as a young professional in DC. i wear a silver watch so always have preferred silver on anything metal. this blazer fits the bill with its pewter-like buttons that give off a younger vibe compared to the traditional gold-buttoned blazer. fitzgerald cut has a nice tapered look and fits like a blazer should. madison can be a little boxy on someone with broad shoulders and slimmer waist - fitz is a perfect solution. Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply The best blazer that BB has to offer Although BB offers several blazers at higher price points (and I own a few of them), in my opinion, this is the best blazer that's offered in the line. The ability to make the sleeve buttons functional is a luxury touch normally found in blazers with prices that approach 4 figures. The same is to be said of the silver buttons. The patch stitching is a very nice detail, and the hopsack weave of the wool makes the blazer stand out, even among a crowd of preps! Finally, the 3/8th lining is especially appreciated in warmer weather. As an aside, bigger gentlemen should not be scared away by the Brooks Brothers' promotion of Fitzgerald cuts as slimmer and trimmer fitting.Despite being a closer design, the Fitzgerald fit is very complimentary to my 6'0", 250 lb. frame and actually more flattering than the Madison fit.
