Yes-- it takes a bit more time and effort to put these knots through the sleeve slit, but they are constructed that way so that they will remain in place all throughout the day.
I had a very difficult time putting them through the little slit, I was very baffled, but then I took them to my nearest Brooks Brothers store-- actually to return them because I thought maybe since they were Men's knots they were not supposed to fit into the women's sleeves-- but, Jeremy showed me how to do it. Brooks Brothers staff people are always very helpful and so, so service oriented.
So, from this lesson i learned to ask for help rather than complain and give up on a good product.

They are cheap but very hard to use. I firmly believe that if you have french cuffs, you should wear real cuff links

I read a few reviews of the knots and was excited upon purchasing them. But once I had them I noticed that the Knots, while being able to fit most French Cuff holes, are not easy to put on, well at least in my case. However, I did not use these with a Brooks Brothers french cuff shirt, so that may have something to do with it. Regardless, I think they offer a different look when wearing a French Cuff shirt.

The knots are a little smaller and the connecting string is not as long as I thought it would be, but still a good purchase. Very good value for the money, of course.
