extra slim fits need half a size larger. my boyfriend has wider shoulders and a narrower rib cage. we ordered an extra slim fit online which fit perfectly on the waist but too tight on the chest. We reordered for half a size larger and it was perfect. we are very happy with the shirts only we wish they had a larger selection for non iron extra slim fits, more herringbone and self weaves ideally! fabulous cut Brooks Brothers! Non Iron extra slim fit shirt Nice quality dress shirt, the non iron lives up to its name. Pretty much without creases by the end of the day and the arm creases make for a sharp look. I prefer the extra slim versus the regular slim for much more of a tailored look. I am 5'8, 166lbs, 16-16.5 collar and 32 arm. Nicely trimmed shape without the blousing around the waist that the other fits can provoke......All in all, a smart good quality shirt. July 27, 2011
Extra Slim? My first BB shirt purchase so I don't know what the regular and slim fits are like - but this "extra slim" fit is still somewhat on the boxy side compared to slim fits from other makers. For someone who is in good shape with broader shoulders and a narrower waist there's still room around the waist (I wear a 40 suit and have a 31 waist). A good fit but I wouldn't think of this as being that slim a cut. May 26, 2011
