gabardine fit has changed drasticially
Been buying gabardine pants for years. probably have over 10 pairs. The new Madison cut, which brooks say are the "roomiest" cut, has completely changed. i have a closet full of 33 waist pants, and ordered 34 based on reviews saying they run small. Had to return them all and get 35 waist. the sizing runs very small and these are tight in the thigh. The zipper dimensions are also very different. the now sit much lower on the waist, and the zipper is much shorter. makes it hard to even tuck in your shirt.
These pants need to be tried on first to determine the size that fits you. when i returned the 4 pairs i bought on line i asked the saleswomen what has changed and she quickly responded that brooks has a "new supplier" of these pants, and that i was not the only person returning them.
Brooks brothers needs to bring back the old style gabardine cut.

Best pleat fit ever
These are the best fitting pants I have ever had. Pleats are so often much too baggy in the top. Not these. These were perfect.

Sad
Ordered the trousers online based on the great reviews regarding the "old" fit. What a disappointment. It is truly sad that Brooks Brothers sells dress trousers that fit like low-rise jeans.

Best pleat fit ever
