Rated 2 out of 5 by PaulMitchell Better off with the untreated version
Brooks Brothers has been my go-to source for most of my clothes for thirty years now, particularly for oxford shirts. The original untreated oxford cloth button down shirts are soft and get softer with age and last forever. Unfortunately that is not as true for the non-iron version. Non-iron shirts are treated with chemicals to resist wrinkling. My experience has been that they do not breathe, they are not as soft, and they wear out around the edges prematurely compared to the untreated shirts. I have untreated oxford cloth button downs from the 1990's that still look great. Yet my non-iron shirts that are three years old are completely worn out at the edges which are now so frayed that they are unusable as work shirts. What you save in cleaning bills does not make up for the loss of longevity. That, and they don't breathe so you sweat more. I recommend untreated version. Yes, you have to iron them, but they feel and wear better.

I love these shirts. They are incredibly comfortable and always look great. We had a guest in our office the other day and they noticed that several of us were wearing the same type of shirt, and that they looked great. He said "do you all get your shirts pressed every day?" We all said together, "Nope, just pull them out of the dryer!"

Wow, what a great shirt. You aleays look neat in this. The fabric is terrific. I love the roll of the collar. I am a little of a nontraditionalist in that I like the light blue better than the standard Brooks blue which was a lways a little gray and somber to me. The light blue is a happier bluer color. I also like the pink which is less red than the Oxford. ITs more versatile. My only objection is as an old traditionalist. I always like Brooks dress shirts without the breat pocket. They always had them with the pocket but the ones on the counters were without pockets, The idea was that a Brooks man wore a jacket and did not need a breat pocket. Well times have changed but are you really going to look like a geek and keep your Blqackberry in the breast pocket? But that was many moons ago, I am really dating myself. Just buy the shirt.

These are the best shirts ever. The noniron technology is amazing. They look great, even with out drycleaning. They look drycleaned right out of the dryer! I've received many compliments on this shirt.

Best shirts in the world I reckon. Traditional fit non-iron with button down collar look good from dawn til dusk. I can get off the plane from Australia to France looking like I am wearing a fresh shirt.

I started purchasing Brooks Bothers shirts a couple of years ago. I was a little apprehensive at first because of the price, but they really are worth the money. I now own about a dozen Brooks Brothers shirts and ties. I'm looking for quality, and that's exactly what I get at Brooks Brothers. What more can I say. Great products.

Perhaps the only type of shirts I wear. I have quite a few of these shirts and strictly for the quality. I turned my buddy Trevor on to the BB shirts. He's on his own kick now to have his shirts made by BB. There is nothing in the world like being measured for YOUR own suits and shirts.

I have been purchasing non-iron dress shirts for quite a long time. My most recent purchase has no breast pocket on the shirts. I really like a pocket in my dress shirts. Why did they suddenly leave?
