Simply put, my good men, a gentleman always carries a fresh handkerchief. It's been a tradition since the 1900's. If you must use it for a personal reason (a.k.a. - a sneeze) then, by all means, do. Otherwise it's purposes are to comfort a weeping lady, dusting off a chair before taking a seat...or wiping a droplet of fine white wine from the page of your favorite novel.
When fresh and pressed...please, store it in the breast pocket of your suit jacket or sport coat. If used to wipe a tear away from the cheek of someone you're fond of...give it away. If used for a personal reason - either a wine spill or "the other" discreetly fold it and place it in the hip pocket of your trousers. Once home...remove it immediately and bring it to the attention of someone in your household whose responsibilities include keeping you attired with fresh hankercheifs on a regular basis. Now, off you go!

Rated 1 out of 5 by iShopper Should not be offered thru Brooks Brothers
These handkerchiefs are not representative of the quality found in Brooks Brothers line. They are not consistent in size and some are squarish while some are more rectangular. After washing, they do not even keep their shape. They do not have the soft feel of cotton and are so thin you can see through them. Very disappointed with this purchase! I plan to request a refund.
