I buy these every year for my fraternity. They are a great resource to keeping our southern gentlemen ideals intact. Pledges also love reading them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jakob Every man ought to buy and read tis book.
Every man ought to do himself that favor and buy this book - and if some men don't think they need it I hope their wives or girlfriends buy it to them as a present and as a hint!!
I can think of quite a few friends to whom I would like to buy this book - but the book tells me that a true gentleman does not insult anybody on purpose - so I keep this thought to myself. But I do have some "you ought read that book moments" from time to time in their company.
What a wonderful place this would be if we all lived by the guidelines of this great book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Padre GREAT SERIES ABOUT WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A GENTLEMAN
After purchasing a copy of "Generations of Style", I could not resist in completing the set of the full library on “Gentlemen”.
Rather than write a review on each book and boring most of you; all I can say is that each copy is indeed worthy of your time and attention. As well, once you have started reading one of the books you will have difficulty in putting it down.
May I suggest that you read the short introduction given by Brooks Brothers for each book in the Catalogue! Then you can choose whether you would like to buy all of the volumes or just a few on offer.
Once again, well done Brooks Brothers - not only is the content excellent; but the quality of the layout, inside and outside, is brilliant!

This book is a great read. Perfect for the young gentleman or the gentleman who needs some helpful tips for his next cocktail party. An excellent made book, the binding and gold flake on the pages give a hint of class. Reccomended for everyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JimK itdiot's guide to gentlemen
I purchased this for my step-son who is 18 and in college. He'll never be this smart again; nor immortal.
This is a fine primer from which any young man might learn a few things about being a gentleman. It addresses most things about being an adult that many young men do not know, and may thus enable him to present himself well in polite company.
I recommend this for any man, especially a young man who is beginning his life as a gentleman.
